Alexis Gibon

Hello there, my name is Alexis Gibon, a Paris-based graphic design student currently pursuing a Master’s degree at LISAA Design Graphic.

I specialize in branding, packaging, and UI design, with additional experience in motion design and 3D.

As a designer, I always strive to infuse my work with a blend of vintage, colorful, and elegant elements, while maintaining a minimalist approach inspired by Swiss design principles. Typography is always at the core of my creations, I believe it’s a powerful tool for communicating emotion and enhancing visual impact.

IDENTITY / PACKAGING
Inspired by Bubby Elaine’s fearless spirit, Chutzpah offers convenient, plant-based meals in nostalgic, handwritten-style packaging.
2024

CONCEPT
Chutzpah is a Brooklyn-based brand that believes food can be both delicious, comforting, and convenient. But that combination alone doesn't have the punch that Bubby Elaine embodied to perfection. Bubby Elaine, the grandmother of the brother-and-sister duo behind Chutzpah, was a bold woman, never afraid to challenge the norm. She taught them that growth sometimes means breaking with tradition. Inspired by her fearless spirit, they decided Chutzpah had to be 100% plant-based.

MISSION
Their mission is simple: to offer real, restaurant-quality meals directly from your freezer. It might sound impossible, but it’s not. No compromise is necessary—neither for taste nor for animals. And that’s the true spirit of Chutzpah.

PACKAGING
The packaging reflects this authenticity. Drawing inspiration from the handwritten labels often found on our grandparents' jars, Chutzpah’s packaging is both nostalgic and functional. It serves as a reminder of a time when things were homemade and personalized, evoking a sense of warmth and tradition. At the same time, it perfectly complements the modern, plant-based meals inside, blending a vintage aesthetic with contemporary convenience.
